HeatCaller runs race day from the timing PC — heats, transponders, laps, results — and announces it out loud while it does. Position changes, best laps, last-lap warnings, all over the PA without anyone holding a microphone.

What it does
Start countdowns, position changes, lap counts, best-lap callouts and the last-lap warning, spoken through whatever speakers the track already has. The voice runs on the timing PC, so it keeps talking when the Wi-Fi doesn't.
Build the heat sheet from the entry list, seed by previous round, and roll through qualifiers into mains. HeatCaller tracks who is up, who is on deck, and calls drivers to the rostrum before their heat.
Reads the loop directly over USB, so laps are decoder-accurate rather than thumb-on-a-stopwatch. Transponder IDs stay attached to drivers between race days — register once, not every Saturday.
Per-round sheets with best lap and best three consecutive, ready to print for the pit wall or export as CSV for the club page. Nothing to retype on Sunday night.
Hardware
HeatCaller talks to EasyLap and I-Lap systems over USB. Plug the decoder into the timing PC, pick the port, and it starts reading passes — no bridge software, no subscription, no account.
It was written for a working Mini-Z track and runs there every race day, which is the only test that counts.
HeatCaller runs at one track today. The beta goes out once it can survive a full race day on somebody else's hardware — different decoder, different PC, different Saturday.
